Can Elevated MCHC And Monoclonal Protein Cause Itching Of Hands And Feet?
I ve had itching of the hands and feet since Dec. had a series of tests done, no link to anything in particular, but found I have a high MCHC 35.2, and the immunofixation shows IgA monoclonal protein with lambda light chain. Any chance the itching relates to these ?

Hi,
The itching on hands and feet may be allergic in nature. Consult the Dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. Try to find out the triggering factor. Take antihistaminic like Cetirizine 10mg daily till the itching is relieved. A course of steroid in tapering dose may be taken if needed. Apply steroid cream on the affected areas. Avoid the conact with suspected triggering factors.
