Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Duromine is phentermine hydrochloride which is given for weight loss. It is a pregnancy category X drug which means that it is completely contraindicated in pregnancy and can harm the fetus. No studies have been performed in humans or animals to determine what anomaly it causes in the fetus, if taken in pregnancy.
Moreover, one should not take this drug if planning to get pregnant or if not using any contraceptive because weight loss offers no potential benefit to a pregnant woman and may result in fetal harm.
I would suggest you to use contraception while you are on duromine.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
