Consuming methi seeds alone cannot control diabetes effectively. A more scientific approach for
diabetes management is needed. You need a combination of drugs, diet and activity to control diabetes. It also depends upon the duration of diabetes. If you have had diabetes for several years and is not well-controlled and if you have developed complications of diabetes like Neuropathy, nephropathy,
heart disease etc, then methi seeds alone will not be enough in managing blood
glucose. You can certainly take methi seeds either in powdered form, stuffed in chapatis, or sprouts after soaking them overnight, but do not just depend on it alone for controlling blood sugar. You have not mentioned your blood sugar values.
You need to get your
HbA1C test done to check how good your diabetes control has been over a period of 3 months. Monitoring your sugar levels using a glucometer device, controlling your diet by avoidance of too much fat, refined carbohydrates etc, and staying physically active are essential in managing your diabetes well. You need to follow dietary restrictions carefully since you are a
kidney patient and of course, take your diabetes and kidney medications as prescribed by your treating doctors.
