Can Concerta Abuse Cause Pain In The Shoulders And Heart Palpitations?
i abuse concerta i took 10 54mg pills in a time spand of 2 to 3 days. i noticed i have had a sharp pain just below my shoulder on my back for about the past 2 days last night i had a very irregular heart beat consisting of fast but not strong beats i could litteraly not feel my heart beating with my hand. then they would become strong but very very slow beats at which i became very lightheaded and weak this was on and off for about 2 hours i an very worried that i might be at risk for a heart attack. i am only 18 years old
Yow ! ok, concerta is a stimulant. these stress the heart. Heart stimulation increases the pulse. Furthermore the stress on the heart can overwhelm the heart and cause abnormal beats and/or parts of the heart NOT getting enough blood and having a heart attack or nearly having a heart attack. This would give pain in the chest. The type of pain varies a lot in where it is and how it feels. Problems with the heart often cause fainting or lightheadedness. Mostly if the symptoms subside, the danger period is over. Mostly if you don't do it again, there isn't more damage. BUT a heart attack can be present from previous problems. An EKG (cost about 30$) would tell if there were severe damage, but an ECHO (cost 500) tells if there is any damage.
