Can Chronic Fatigue Be Caused By Elevated Glucose And HGBA1C Levels?
good day! I am 63 yo white male; 6 feet/260 lbs; for the last several weeks I have been experiencing chronic fatigue...a recent blood work showed elevated glucose and HGBA1C, but not in diabetic range.I am 18 month post op LL lung removal due to adenocarcinoma, clear with all followups; also 25 months postop bladder stone removal surgery and prostate reduction due to BPH (PSA WNL for 1 yr)Although I have not feel 100% since the lung surgeries, I feel that since then my energy level started to decline, but the last three weeks have really been tough. Is this a sign of diabetes?? vitamin or other deficiency??? Any thoughts on where to go with this would be appreciated.ThanksRichard
Hi Good day As per your history..it might be due to decreased insulin level in your body and if glycosylated hb is increased or more than the normal range then it means you are diabetic [discarding the fact you are not taking any steroids] so i would recommend you to follow up with a medical endocrinologist so that he can access you clinically whether symptomatically.
Thank You Dr Varun
