Can Change In Medicine Brand Cause Any Effect?

Hello my name is Charles Bennett. I am wondering about your generic Percocet pills. I have been taking Oxycodone 10-325 s for the last 7 months or so. The generic brand has always been Watson. Lately the brand is Actavis and it does not seem the same to me. Is there a reason why?

The change in brand is usually equally effective.

Both Percocet, Actavis and Watson-pill contain the combination of same drugs Acetaminophen and Oxycodone but in different composition.

Perocet and Actavis contain 325 mg of Acetaminophen and 5 mg of Oxycodone whereas Watson-pill contains same dose of Acetaminophen but the dose of Oxycodone is increased to 10 mg.

Oxycodone is an opioid pain medication. Acetaminophen is a less potent pain reliever that increases the effects of Oxycodone. This combination is commonly used to relieve moderate to severe pain.
