Can Brown Discharge And Bloating Be Pregnancy Symptoms?

Hi I recently had sex and the condom slipped off after my boyfriend came in me, I had sperm in my v area and the next day I took plan b one step. It has been about a week and I feel very bloated and today I had light brown discharge but very little. I was wondering if this is part of the pill working or what? Oh and I m supposed to start my period in about 8 days. Also I ve been doing crunches like crazy but my lower belly doesnt want to go away. So I m freaking out. Please help!

Hello,
Since you have taken emergency contraception within the stipulated time interval, you are almost completely protected. The symptoms you are experiencing are mostly due to the excess hormone content in the pill, which is also the cause of the discharge seen. Your next normal period may get delayed by a week or two as the pill creates hormonal imbalance in the body. Please take specialist help in person if you do not see your next period even after ten days after it is due. Hope this helps.
