Can Bleeding With Positive UPT Cause Any Problem To Pregnancy?
hi, i m almost one month pregnant and attempted to abort my baby. I took two tablets of cytotec intravaginally and two tablets bucally. After five minutes, I change my mind and took off the remnants of the tablets off my vagina and spit the other tablets bucally. I also washed out the other remnants of the drug from my vagina with a hose and a running water afterwards. Three hours later i started to have spotting and started bleeding just like having my normal period. The night after that event had a pregnancy test and found a positive result while I was still bleeding. Can I still keep my baby?
It looks like you have already miscarried. The urine pregnancy test can remain positive for some time even after miscarraige. Have you had an ultrasound done to see the location and size of pregnancy before taking the pills. If not please do get an ultrasound done.. It is always advisable to take cytotec under the guidance of gynaecologist. If the bleeding persists ,You will need an ultrasound scan and blood test for HCG. Regards
