Can Amoxillyn Cause Side Effects Like Vomitting In Infants?

my baby is 8 months ols and he is teething, for the last 3 days he has a temperature between 38.5 and 39.8 degrees, I took him to the doc and he prescribed ponstan and an antibiotic with amoxillyn, baby cant seem to keep the antibiotic down , after just a few drops he has projectile vomiting emptying the contents of his tummy , does this mean that he is allergic to the amoxillyn ? i cant finish the course because of this

Thanks for asking Healthcaremagic. It is possible that your child is allergic to amoxicillin but some times there can be other reasons for vommiting after antibiotic like the taste of it might not suit your child. i would suggest to give ondasetron 2mg/5ml. give 2.5 ml on empty stomach. I he vommits again after amoxycilllin visit your doctor so that he can change the antibiotic. i hope this helps. Thanks and regards.
