Can Amoxicillin Cause Itchy Rashes On Arms?
My 4year old daughter started taking amoxicillin 2 days ago and today she developed an itchy rash down both of her arms. It has not spread anywhere else in the last 4 hours. Can this become life threatning or is it just an amoxi rash ? I did not give her the pm dose

Amoxicillin can cause an allergic reaction and cause rash on the body. The rash itself is not dangerous but the allergic reaction which caused it can be life threatening it gets worse (breathing difficulties by increased exposure to the medicine). So it is wise to stop the dose and make an appointment with her GP or pediatrician so a different medication can be prescribed in its place.
