Hi, I understand your query. Actually contraceptiveoral pills are started after starting menses ( on 2nd- 5th day of menses ) It seems you have started the pills after getting -ve pregnancy test.. & that's why the confusion. * oral contraceptive has side effect like bloating of abdomen/ sore breast .. creating the confusion in your mind. - But never mind, take the pills given to you twice a day for 5 days .. & wait for period to start. It will start within 7 days of stopping the pills. This confirms absence of pregnancy, Now, you discard old pack of pills . Take a fresh pack & start taking it regularly without a break, at a fixed time each day.. for desired contraception. -If you are too tense, & You can exclude pregnancy by blood HCG testing. Once it's excluded.. continue the contraceptive pills as directed. Thanks.
