Can A High FSH, Hormonal Imbalance Be Treated For A Successful Pregnancy?
Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...
I am 42 this april and trying to get pregnant so far to no avail. I have had tests that show my fsh is high. I recently was diagnosed with a non malignant multinodular goitre. I have three sisters who have had their goitres removed. I was told it was not necessary as I do not have a thyroid problem. One sister had a prolatinoma and had a benign tumor removed from her pituartary. Help. I feel like I have hormone imbalance, mood swings etc. My husband and I would like a child. He was tested and his sperm is ok. He also has an 18 year old daughter. ( I hve been pregnant in the past). Lauren
Hello, Thanks for trusting us with your health concern. In view of your symptoms and the family history, I would ask you to go for a complete hormone assay along with a trans-vaginal sonogram to help plan further management. Considering your age, the possibility of natural conception is low and you are best treated using assisted reproduction instead of wasting precious ovarian reserve. Please see a specialist for proper evaluation and plan further management. Take care.
