Hi welcome to health care magic....

The zolpidem drug used your insomnia ...It is very much safe drug...

Sometime it can lead diarrhea , headache , allergic reactions...

But zolpidem in rare case can lead to high liver enzymes and increased bilirubin by affecting liver .....

So better to avoid it and for proper sleep try behavioral therapy ...

Investigate for jaundice by ....
1.Liver enzyme study(SGPT, SGOT )
2.USG
3.Urine bilirubin and bile salt
4.Peripheral smear for normoblast and schistocytes
5.Retic count

From these investigation it can be decided whether jaundice hemolytic , hepatocellular or obstructive and than accordingly further advise can be given...

Take care ..

Advise :Physician consultation....
