Can MTP Kit Be Used To Terminate Pregnancy Without Doctor S Advice?

Hi doctor. Can I use the MTP kit without consulting a doctor. I am 26 married. Got married last month on 27th August and I din get my period the entire last month. Did two pregnancy test which showed positive result. Thinking of aborting it at home itself as i don t want to go to the clinic and take a lengthy procedure done

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have got pregnant and you want abortion for that. Need not to worry. You should take proper precautions if you are not prepared as i do not recommend abortions. I would suggest you to take Unwanted kit which is used for the medical method of abortion as this contains the tablets mifepristone and misoprostol which is an effective method of abortion for pregnancies less than 7 weeks gestation. I would suggest you to do it under supervision of medical practitioner after getting transvaginal ultrasonography. Otherwise, you may have complications like uncontrolled bleeding or incomplete abortion.
