Can I Take Coumadin While Suffering From Hyperglycemia Asymptomatic?
I have recently been told I have hyperglycemia asymtomatic. I do have the antibody for cardio lippid as I do take coumaden. My familydoctor states eat more often and increase my intake of carbs and sugar if I feel shaky etc. My rhuematologist feels that is fine but I should pass this by my oncologist and see if this is fine with her or might have to see a endrocronologist please help am quite confused.Have nonhodgkens lymphoma and lupus is all of this related?Did not realize I had to pay for an answer

thank you for your query, patients with diabetes have an increased risk of developing NHL compared with those without diabetes. Although the size of the increased risk was moderate, based on the projected increase in the incidence and prevalence of diabetes (2), our findings suggest a concurrent increase in the incidence of NHL. Under normal circumstances, warfarin should not elevate your blood sugar. Some diabetic medications may have a slightly stronger effect because you are taking an anticoagulant.1 This could lead to lower blood sugar levels. hope this explains
