Can Eplerenone And Benazepril Be Taken Together?

I have just started taking Eplerenone. My pharmacist warned me to stop taking Benazepril. My doctor said I could lower my Benazepril dose, but I slowly stopped taking it befor I began Eplerenone. What can you tell me about the side effects of combining these two drugs?
