Suggest Alternate Drugs For Spironolactone And Eplerenone

I have CHF and have taken Spiranolactone but went off because of Gyno and am currently on Eplerenone but am still experiencing man boobs and painful breasts. Are there any other drugs my cardiologist can put me on that act similarly to those 2? I currently take a diuretic, coreg, losartan and eplerenone.

Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Since you are on carvedilol , I would assume that the CHF is compensated till now. Aldosterone antagonists such as spironolactone are ideal drugs in CHF but have the dreaded side effects of gynecomastia. You can increase the dose of the losartan and diuretic in consult with your doctor and keep the eplerenone at lowest dose possible to minimize the side effects.

wishing you best of health

thanks
