Can Diovan/HCT Causes Dry Cough?

I ve been on antihypertensives for 40 years. I am 64. I have never been overweight, my siblings and I have all had early diagnosis. I do not smoke, I eat well, and I exercise, but my diastolic pressure has always been stubborn. Question: I ve developed a drug induced cough before, and have again developed another dry cough (for 3 months) which I suspect is from the Diovan/HCT that I have been taking for the last 4 years. I have been on all 3 of the classified BP drugs over the years and am wondering if I should return to the calcium channel blocking agents as they seem to have the lowest incidence of developing a cough. Yes, it is possible that Diovan/HCT can cause such a problem.
It would be advisable to change over to calcium blocker and to if you are getting any good effects, that the coughing stops.

At the same time you have to see for any local causes at home or at work like:
molds, mildews, pets, fumes, scents dust, pollen, mites and so on and if found, to get treated for that too. Avoidance is the key.
