Hi,

Yes, it can be taken as prescribed. Cyclogest is a synthetic form of female hormone progesterone.

Based on the history you seem to have had a miscarriage and now your doctor has advised you to take duphaston following a course of cyclogest.

Both cyclogest and duphaston are synthetic forms of female hormone progesterone commonly prescribed to support and maintain a normal pregnancy as well as to prevent miscarriage.

Duphaston alone can help to prevent miscarriage after finishing a course of cyclogest and taking cyclogest by mistake will not cause any harmful effects.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali
