Geriatrics Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Yes, coumadin can cause it.
2. Due to increased bleeding tendency secondary to anticoagulation therapy, mild subcutaneous bleeding can present with large red spots.
3. Improved intake of protein and vit c to stabilize blood vessels will be helpful. Good hydration and moisturizer will be helpful.
4. Do not reduce or stop coumadin. Its necessary for you. Improved nutritional supplements will reduce further red spot formation.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
