Burning And Itching In Clitoris. History Of Having Sex, And Medicated Abortion A Month Back. Infection?
I had a medicated abortion a little over a month ago. I had sex 2 days before my 2 week time frame was up. I also used a tampon for recent bleeding. After having sex for a long period of time Saturday night I was sore the next few days and then shortly after had burning and itching on the top of the clitoris and behind it. The soreness has gone away but now just seems to itch. Does this have anything to do with an infection from the abortion or maybe a yeast infection? Thanks!
In medical termination of pregnancy there is always risk of infection if the abortion is not complete and if there is any retained product of conception. If is always better to follow up with an ultrasound scan after an abortion to confirm no production of conception is left behind. By history it seems like there are signs of inflammation. This may be due to undue friction or It may be infection.
