Bump On Head After Fall. Applied Ice, Hurts To Touch. No Headache. Need To Check?

Hi, I fell on the back of my head about 2-3 weeks ago and there was a huge bump. It has since gone down with icing but now I m feeling there is still a dime-sized bump on the back of my head. It s hard but doesn t hurt to the touch. I ve pushed on it and no pain. I haven t had any irregular symptoms such as headaches or anything like that. Everything else has gone back to normal. Should I get this checked out?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Trauma to any aspect of the body results in fibrosis/formation of scar tissue.
This can result in the formation of a lump such as you are describing.

As remodelling of the area continues the 'bump' or fibrotic area will become smaller but it may take a few weeks for it to completely resolve.

It is not associated with any complications.

I hope this helps
