Bottom Of Both Feet Hurt Almost All Times. Causes ?

The bottom of both of my feet hurt almost all of the time...simultaneously. Sometimes it will suddenly go away for a few days, wee, month, but then , just as suddenly it returns for weeks or months...I do not have an injury but the pain can be so bad and unremitting I can not sleep or it wakes me up...what causes this...I am not overweight
