Body Odor Coming Through Pores. How To Control?

My father is diabetic and recieves dialysis 3 times a week for the passed 7 years. But these passed day he has felt like he had bad smell, I smell him my brothers smell him and my mother also smell him but he doesn t have bad odor. Is him that feels that he s body smells bad. What could that be? Could it be that his internal organ are about to die. Because he was at the hospital 2 weeks ago and the cardialogist said that give him 3 years of life left because of his health condition. Plus he recieves dialysis and people say that patients that recieve dialysis have a 10 year life time and he has been recieving dialysis for passed 7 years

Hi robert,
Dialysis patient survival is depends on the underlying cause or disease and frequency of dialysis and amount of end organ damage, some patient may survie for 6 months and some 20 years, secondly he may have anosmia due to dysfunction of olfactory organ so he may be feeling bad odour. continue with dialysis.
Take care

Hi, Doc, I am not a diabetic, nor do I have any bad diseases, I currently am taking amlodipine, and I am on Lyrica for nerve pain, I recently had a laminectomy 2010, my question is why do I keep having these foul odors from my mouth and my body, right after a bath, I brush my teeth and the smell aftewards is if I had not and a foul odor is in the sink afterward, I have to use bleach to get rid of the smell, after a shower or bath the stink in the tub lingers, and now it has permeated the whole house, anxiety, stress really makes it worse, what can I do to alleviate this, on Sept 15, I had a colonoscopy and have polyps, on a return visit 10/20 I will get the others removed, I also have anal leakage, I wash and scrub, wash and scrub and I get the same smell, what can I do

Hello.welcome.If other people surrounding him don't feel any bad smell then either some problem with his oral hygiene or may be anosmia.Consult a neurophysician for the diagnosis.Good luck.
