If blood stained saliva is not accompanied with cough, the cause could be in the throat or mouth rather than lungs. Coarse bronchovascular markings are seen in smokers as they may suffer from chronic bronchitis. Ig there is recurrence of blood in saliva, consult an ENT specialist.
