Blood Stained Saliva On Waking Up, X-ray Showed Coarse Broncho-vascular Markings In Both Lungs. Serious?
Hi, A week ago when I used to wake up I got blood in my saliva . The blood was not fresh. I had an X-Ray which says Coarse bronchovascular markings seen in both lungs . Now I dont have this problem of blood stained saliva but still would like to know if there is anything to worry about. Can you please guide me on this. Thanks
If blood stained saliva is not accompanied with cough, the cause could be in the throat or mouth rather than lungs. Coarse bronchovascular markings are seen in smokers as they may suffer from chronic bronchitis. Ig there is recurrence of blood in saliva, consult an ENT specialist.
