Good day!

If The doctor suggested to have surgery on his testes, that means he may have prostate cancer. Removal of the testes is one way of hormonal manipulation to decrease cancer activity. You may want to monitor his serum PSA since it is a marker for cancer activity and directly proportional to cancer growth and spread. What kind of chemotherapy was given? Was it for the prostate or for some other organ?

He may need to have a 3 way foley catheter inserted if he is urinating blood to ensure drainage of urine from his bladder.
