Blockage In Left Carotid Artery, difficult In Surgery. Suggestion?
I need help with a medical problem I'm having right now. I have been evaluated with 85% blockage in my left carotid artery with the added problem that the blockage is closer to my ear, which my vascular surgeon said will make the surgery more difficult, if possible to do at all. I need to know if I should go along with this surgeon's opinion or should I get a second opinion. I have seen the CTA pictures and can see where the blockage is. My surgery would be done in a hospital in Canton, Ohio. I am a 74 yr. old woman. Thank you
