Bleeding During Bowel Movements, Painful. Prescribed Miralax. What Do You Think?

I am a healthy 25 year old woman. When I poop, my butt bleeds and it looks as if I m on my period. Blood also squirts out. It did it twice yesterday, and once just now. Now, my poop is normal sized, and not hard. But it does hurt. I ve been told to try miralax twice a day for a while to see if it helps, and I plan on getting some. What do you think I should do?

Hello,

You may be suffering from hemorrhoids or fissure in ano. It may be aggravated by hard stools or constipation.

First, you have to be checked for possible causes by local examination and proctoscopy.

Take green leafy vegetables and fruits. Use tablet pantoprazole.

Use Benefiber or Metamucil fiber.

If symptoms not improved please consult your surgeon he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
