OBGYN 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The mild and irregular bleeding is a common side effect of the birth control shot. Most of the times this bleeding subsides on its own without any treatment. If the bleeding is heavy then active treatment is needed.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
