Black Stools. Weakness And Dizziness Due To Reduced Food Intake. On Mylanta And Prilosec. History Of Stomach Ulcers. Help

I have a history of past stomach ulcers but have managed it until several days ago. First, I felt faint and then I had a rapid heartbeat. I went to the bathroom and passed black stools and have been passing black stools for several days.

I have reduced my food intake and am feeling weak and dizzy. I am taking Mylanta and prilosec which always seemed to help...

Can you help me? YYYY@YYYY

Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
Black stools indicate you are bleeding in your upper GI tract.

Feeling weak and dizzy could be due to low hemoglobin or low blood pressure due to blood loss.

You need immediate medical attention. Go to ER for evaluation and treatment.
Regards.
