Bad Stomach, Acid Reflux After Started Taking Carbimazole 3 Tablets A Day. Reduce The Dosage?
Hi Good Morning,
My name is Monika, I am 30 years old and 43 Kilograms. I just started Carbimazole taking 3 tablets once a day (so 15mg) two days ago. I don't feel sick myself, but I have a very bad stomach acid, or reflux from the tablets, I take then in the morning, and half an hour later an acid is coming.. I never felt the same, and I can not rest in the afternoon, cause I can't lie on a bed. If you have any idea, what can I do with this problem, I will be happy. I found a tablet, which is reducing this stomach acid, but I don't know how can I take near my Carbimazole. Or can I take just 2 tablets in a day instead of 3? Thank you for the answer. Welcome to HCM.The drug can be taken with or after meals to reduce the gastric irritation,use of sucralfate orally will also prevent the gastritis induced by carbimazole.Frequent small meals will also help prevent the gastric side effects,use of PPIs like omeprazole may help.
