Bad Period Cramps, No Period, Barely Bled. Why Does This Happen?

My period was a day late I had really bad cramps but no period and then the next day it didn't start until the afternoon and it was pink at like 5pm it turn a light red and then by the end of the night it stopped. The next morning I had a regular flow but it was lighter than my usual period. Today I thought my period was over because there was nothing on my pad but when I used the bathroom there was blood not a lot but enough. What does this mean?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The bad cramps with a lesser bleeding is likely to be due to a mild hormonal disturbance. If there is only a mild spotting then you need to rule out pregnancy after a blood test.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
