Are There Any Side Effects Of Taking Birth Control Pills?

Hi,I am 23yrs. I am married since 1.5years. My husband and I never used any precautions so far. My husbad stays far so we have intercourse once in a month or max twice in a month. Whenevr we had intercourse, the next day I intake food which is heat to the body like horsegram soup, nuts chocolates. My husband says by doing this, i will be avoiding pregnancy. My husband doesnt want to use condoms and i at times take ipill, or unwanted 72. But i feel these pills are not safe when consumed regularly Please suggest me. why am i not getting pregnant?(i mean as of now i dont want to) what precautions i am taking, is it safe? and is that the reason i am not getting pregnant or am i imfertile? Does having heat stuffs, really avoids pregnancy?or is it beacuse we have intercourse once in a month or twice? can i get pregnant after 2 years? Please suggest me.

Hello,

You have been taking I pills, you are not on regular CP. I-pill is not recommended only for emergency purpose because it is not as effective for preventing pregnancy as the other birth control methods. Regular contraceptive pills, IUD, patch, ring, or shot are commonly used. Side effects are nausea, vomiting, menstrual irregularities, spotting, heavy flow, tiredness, stomach cramps, affects libido. Horseradish and certain other herbs also terminate pregnancy.

If you are seeking to get pregnant, stay with your spouse, conception needs frequent penetrative sexual intercourse. You should get pregnant in 1-2 years. If not, get clinically examined by a gynae(both partners) get all investigations (both partners) done. After intercourse be careful not to take food that may cause termination of pregnancy, avoid fast food, avoid msg9chinese salt), papaya, stay away from stress and addictions if any. Treatment and conception may take some time, do not lose patience.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
