Are Swollen Gums Worrisome?

hi im 19 years old..has normal BMI..i am worried since my last tooth, the one before the wisdom tooth erupts had swollen gum.however my wisdom tooth had recently erupt in the area no further from the swollen gum..is there a need to be worry?..please give an advice..

Hello!Thank you for posting here.
You did not mention if you have any discomfort in the gums, bleeding,pain,etc.
Use a mild mouthwash thrice daily.MaIntain a good oral hygiene.Use flagyl 400mg thrice daily and MoxikindCV twice daily for three days.Take a OTC pain killer if you experience pain.
Recurring swelling or discomfort is a indication of persisting infection.In this case, removal of the third molar must be done.

Hello thanx for consulting at hcm. You might be having tmj disorder which results in muscle tenderness and tender area at tmj ..do you have habit of grinding your teeth at night during sleep. Give complete rest for your tmj. Give hot and cold fomentation alternatively. You may also need night guard and muscle relaxants. Kindly consult a oral physician and tmj clinic in your area. Reduce stress in your day today life,even stress could trigger factor...hope it helps..take care...
