Are My Menses Long Due To Implanon In My Arm?

It has been over a year since getting the implanon in my arm. I generally am on my period no longer than 7 days and I get a period each month. I have been on my period for 18 days now and there are no signs that it is coming to the end...what other options is there other than removing the implant?

Hi,

Implanon can cause delayed menstrual periods.

You can take progesterone pills to induce the withdrawal bleed.

Consult a gynecologist and he will assist you further.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
