Hello sir - my son who is 14 years old and in 10th std, has got small bumps/lumps with extreme pain only in his left chest under his areola. we consulted his childhood doctor but he said it may be due to his attaining puberty. He has just started having small hair growth around his personal parts. However, we are very much worried. Does he need a second opinion

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
He may have gynecomastia. It is enlargement of male breast commonly seen at pubertal age. However it should be confirmed by FNAC or biopsy.
In many cases surgery is not needed. But still you should confirm that. Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have any doubts then contact me at bit.ly/Drsanghvihardik, I will be happy to answer you.
