Are Bright Red Blood In Urine And Lower Abdominal Pain Symptoms Of Preterm Labour?
Hi, I am currently 33 weeks pregnant and have been diagnosed with a urine infection for which I am now taking antibiotics. i didnt suffer any normal symptoms it was picked up in a routine urine sample test. However, earlier I noticed some bright red blood in my urine and am now starting with lower abdominal aching. Can you advise me please? I am 26 and this is my third pregnancy. I was admitted to hospital for 4 days at 28 weeks after suffering blood loss and contractions which eventually settled. My youngest child was born at 37 weeks due to bleeding in the pregnancy. I had a routine antenatal appointment yesterday and all was fine. Are my symptoms a sign I m going into preterm labour?
Hello dear,I understand your concern. In my opinion the when there is pain abdomen along with cervical changes there is chance of preterm labour.Urine infection or any infection might lead to preterm labour. To diagnose preterm labour physical examination might be needed.Check for the fetal movements.Take adequate fluids to prevent and wash out urine infection.
