Are Acid Reflux And Chest Pain Symptoms Of GERD?

Had uncontrollable heartburn wednesday. It is now friday and have had achy pains in chest and left arm lasting from a few minutes to almost an hour. The whole while my left carotid artery has had a pressure and burning sensation. Should I be more concerned than just my gerd?

Hello,

Yes, it can be due to GERD (Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease) and due to a hiatus hernia if it’s present. Get an endoscopy done to know the diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
