Hello,
I have gone through the query and understood your concern. Home pregnancy tests read well when performed 3-7 days after the missed period. Thus, you did the test way too early and perhaps this is the reason for the result. If you wish to confirm/exclude pregnancy now, you can ask for the blood pregnancy test as this is more sensitive and specific too. This estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres can read values which cannot be detected in urine at this phase. You can also get a trans-vaginal sonogram a week later, if you miss your next natural period. Hope this helps.
