Are G.maxidex Steroid Eye Drops And G.optive Safe During Pregnancy?

I am 32 weeks pregnant and have been prescribed G.maxidex steroid eye drops for allergic conjuctivitis. I have also been prescribed G.optive artificial tears and opatanol drops as cell stabilisers. could you tell me if these drops are safe to take during pregnancy please?

Hi. Yes it is safe to use these drops for topical use at this stage in pregnancy.Steroids will not do any harm. You will be cured of conjunctivitis part. Not much systemic absorption. Moreover we give steroids to baby if required for a preterm delivery for lung maturity.Cell stabilisers stabilise mast cells to prevent further allergy.
