Any Insights Into Frequent Heartburn, Burping, Mild Reflux & Occasional Hiccups After Eating?

Hi!
For the last 3-4 months I have been experiencing frequent heartburn, burping, mild reflux and occasionally hiccups after eating, usually in the evenings. I have always suffered from mild heartburn and an antacid would usually resolve it but they're not helping to relieve my heartburn as much as before. Digestion problems and excess stomach acid seems to run in the family.
I would appreciate any insight into why this could be happening.
Thank you.

Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.

After reading your post, it seems that you might be having Gastro Esophageal Reflux (GERD).

You should take an antacid like Omeprazole 40mg once a day before meals along with Domperidone 30mg.
Antacid in liquid or gel form is also beneficial.

Following precautions will be helpful :-
1.Avoid spicy and oily foods.
2.Avoid being empty stomach for long periods.
3.Avoid mental and emotional stress.
4.Avoid smoking and alcohol, if any.
5.Drink lots of water daily.

I hope this is helpful to you.
Thanks.
