Hi
after the introduction of highly active anti retroviral treatment, HIV is no longer a fatal disease , but a chronic disease.
Hiv patient can maintain a near normal life as that of hiv uninfected with HAART treatment.
On HAART, u need regular follow up and testing of CD4 count and viral load.
U should also undergo regular screening for opportunistic infections that are common in HIV and chances increase BA's CD4 count falls. There are certain strategies to prevent development of opportunistic infection by using prophylactic medication depending on CD4 count, and your treating doctor will give you more instructions in this regard.
The main reason for HAART failure is discontinuation of treatment, so continue treatment as per your doctor's advice. HAART is a life long treatment plan.
Don't get disappointed, your current CD4 count is somewhat satisfactory.
Go ahead
Best of luck

Thank you
