Abdominal Pain, Cystic Ovary, Severe Pain, Bleeding. Positive Pregnancy Test. Could It Be Ectopic?

Hi i have been for a scan today because of slight adominal pain to the left side. They found a cyst on that ovary which they said may be causing this pain. Plus i thought i was 6 weeks pregnant but the scan found nothing yet i am showing positive pregnacy test. They suggested that i am earlier that i think thats why they cannot see it. I am nervous that it could be ectopic. But have no serve pain or bleeding. Any suggestion?
Thanks
Danielle

hello dear
thanks for your query at HCM
acute ectopic presents with amenorrhea, pain and bleeding. unruptured and chronic ectopic will also present with pain and bleeding .
but ultra sound scan was done for you which would have revealed any ectopic .
ultrasound can pick up ectopic gestation as early as 5 weeks.
there is identified cyst in scan, positive pregnancy test may be because of the hormonal chages from cyst .
get your self examined by gynecobs specialist and take medication accordingly
regards
