7 Year Old With Fever, Fatigue. Need To See A Doctor?

My 7 year old daughter was sick with a fever a few weeks ago, now she is better but she just isn t herself. She is grumpy and tired all the time. She sleeps 9 or 10 hours a night and still falls asleep off and on throughout the day. This isn t her, she is usually full of energy. The doctor told me it could take awhile for her to get her energy back after being sick but its been 3 weeks now. I am getting more worried everyday, what should I do?

Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.
Children may take some time to regain their normal state particularly when their nutrition is affected during illness.

Give her balanced diet rich in calories and nutrients. Give her plenty of fruits and vegetables.

Give her rest for few days and do not send her to the school.

Does she have any other problem like vomiting or fever or lack of appetite etc?

Please reply in detail so that we can help you better.
Take care.
