hi
its dr vivek gupta
by history and medicine this seem to be that your child has recurrent episodes of wheezing ( chest spasm ) and your child is treated repeatedly for wheezing associated with lower respiratory tract infection .
just get work up for recurrent cough

history -examination

. oral cavity cleft palate
. skin examination - for atopic dermatitis
. recurrent cold( rhinorrhea)
.contact with TB patient
any type of allergy
History of breathlessness and swelling over body
history of asthma in family member

1. x-ray chest PA view [ for air trapping(asthma, WALRI) , pneumonic patch , hilar adenopathy( pulmonary TB,mediastinal compression), cardiomegaly ( CHD)
2. montoux test ( tuberculosis)
3. allergy testing if history of allergy present
4. barium swallow for H type fistula
5. TLC, DLC, eosinophil count
treatment will be depend on etiology
