5 Months Baby, Suffering From Cold. Prescribed Sinarest, Nasoclear, Advent Syrup. Any Problem Giving Oral Through Nostril?

I have 5 months baby boy who is suffering from cold. my doctor prescribed sinarest, nasoclear and advent syrup. he told us to give sinarest through nostrils.. i gave some 6 times in 2 days and my kid was crying like anything and once gasped for breath. then i took the sinarest bottle and to my shock it has picutre with drops taken in mouth and not in nostril.. i am really worried now :( i could meet the doctor only in the mrng.. please let me know if there is any pbm in giving this oral through nostril :( i am worried a lot. sinarest is a combination of paracetamol, chlrophenramine maleate and phenylephrine chloride

Hi Dear

Welcome to the board of Health care Magic

Nasoclear drop is meant for nostril. and sinarest drops are for the oral use.
Advent syrup is for oral use only.

Nothing to worry much, any nasal liquid finally goes inside the stomach only,

Nothing special is to be done for this mistake.

But sinarest drops may cause some irritation in the nostril.

Continue pouring the naso clear drop through his nostril,it is a saline drop only, it clears all the scabs in the nostril so makes the breathing through nostril more comfortable.

Hope your query is answered

Thanks
