4 Year Old With Swollen Tonsil, Breathing Trouble And High Temperature. Severe Bleeding From Mouth. What Can Be Done?

we have a 4year oldgirl was told on friday she had a swollen tonsil on the left side after she had had a high tenp since tuesday abd was beibg sicj xould bot eat etc and had bad breath abd wanted to sleep alot. they gave her anribiotics which she has started. friday morning her face and pilliw and her mouth was covered in alot of blood took her to a hosputal they did not seem to bothered and sent her hkne. now her other tonsil is inflamed and she says she is having trouble breathing . wot should we do.

hello,
It seems your child is suffering from acute bilateral tonsilitis with enlargement of tonsil which is producing airway obstruction and hence breathing difficulty.You need not worry.Once antibiotics started ( augmentin ) it will automatically settledown with in a week.Meantime make her lie in lateral recombinent position, give her warm food, avoid cold drinks and sweet foods She also requires decongestants
