4 Year Old Having Early Puberty Symptoms. What Is The Cause For This?

Hello...i am from malaysia. i have a son. he just 4 years 8 month. He just do a circumsicion on may 2012. now he was having early puberty symptom. pubic hair ,adult man odor,a lot of acne at forehead , having hair at forehead also, i have seen dr but nothing they can do. and just give us appoinment another 3 weeks..but im worry what happen to my son as the forehead is getting a lot of hair.

Symptoms like public hair, acne on forehead etc at this age is not normal. Your son suffers from what is called as 'Precocious puberty' (simple means early onset of puberty).

This is due to early release of pubertal hormones or extra production in the body.

I would advise you to seek opinion of Endocrinologist/Pediatic Endocrinologist (doctor specialising in hormonal problems) as he would need to have few blood tests to check hormone levels, scan of his abdomen etc and then deciding what treatment is needed.
