Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

The description provided by you suggests that your daughter is having an upper respiratory tract infection. As it has been 2 weeks now and it has worsened I suggest that you consult a doctor who would like to add an antibiotic along with a decongestant syrup. Though it is a good sign that the fever has subsided but it would be better to get investigations to be done to rule out any complications.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing your daughter an early recovery.

Pediatrician Dr. E Venkata Ramana's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.

You all three are suffering from an upper respiratory illness due to a virus most probably.

For the cough of your children you can a give a cough medication containing mucolytic agents like ambroxol in prescribed dosage for each individual.

But physical examination by a doctor is important to look at the throat and to auscultate the lungs for any infection.

Therefore I advise you to consult the pediatrician for examination of your children and for medications.

Hope I have answered your query.

Regards.
