20 Weeks Pregnant, Dizzy, Blurred Vision, Sweating, Sleepy. Had Bleeding 2 Weeks Ago, Baby Normal. Meet Doctor?

Hi... im 20 weeks pregnant and i just felt sleepy and started to sweat. Then i started to get dizzy and had blurred vision. I asked for help to seat down or i would of faint. As i sat down i felt light headed and was sweating alot. I have never felt this way. Now i feel very sleepy but still light headed. What can cause this symptoms??? Is it normal or should i go to the hospital??? Let me add that 2 weeks ago i started bleeding heavily and went to the hospital. An ultrasound was done and sent home since my baby seems healthy.

Hi,
Your symptoms point to hypoglycemic attack, i.e., fall in the blood glucose levels. This usually happens during the mid-trimester as the demands of pregnancy are more and when prolonged period of starvation or strain happens. The symptoms usually subside with rest and some glucose. Though, you should inform your consultant as you have had a bleeding episode in the recent past and any incident needs to be considered. Hope your query has been clarified. Wish you safe motherhood.
